The tropics continue to boil. A large region from northern Brazil, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia to the west-central Caribbean, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Southern Mexico is being affected by disturbed weather, rain and thunderstorms. What appears as a tropical wave is on the eastern Pacific close to the coast of Nicaragua and may warrant monitoring for potential further development in the next 12-24 hours. Far away in the western Pacific a tropical storm developed quickly from a tropical wave and it is moving toward the Philippines.
