It is Hot

Tropical depression 2, bordering on becoming a tropical storm, is in the western Gulf following on hurricane Alex’s tracks approaching landfall later today somewhere near the Mexico-Texas border. Hurricane Seasons

What kind of a Atlantic hurricane season will we have in 2010? Predictions issued by various agencies range from 15 to 24 tropical cyclones in 2010, so there is consensus that it will be a “busy” season. So far we have seen lots of tropical waves and flares, mainly in the Caribbean, but only one tropical cyclone, Alex. Posted here are views of the 2009 season, a “quiet” one and the 2005 season, a “busy” one. Keep in mind though it only takes one hit from a tropical cyclone to cause major damage, consequently we should pay attention! Be prepared!! and above all MITIGATE!!!
